سُورَةُ المَسَدِ
خار (المَسَد) · Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 آیات
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
به نام خدا، بخشندهترین، مهربانترین.
In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
1تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
(۱۱۱:۱) کارهای ابولهب محکوم است، و او محکوم شد.

* ۱۱۱:۱ ابولهب عموى محمد و رهبر مخالفان بود. همسرش عمليات جنگى و اذيت و آزار را عليه محمد و مؤمنان بهعهده داشت. مانند همه توصيفات بهشت و جهنم، طنابى از تيغ هم تمثيلى است.
[111:1] Condemned are the works of Abee Lahab, and he is condemned.*

*111:1 Abee Lahab was Muhammad's uncle and the leader of the opposition. His wife carried out a campaign of persecution against Muhammad and the believers. Like all descriptions of Heaven and Hell, the rope of thorns is an allegory.
2مَآ أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
(۱۱۱:۲) پول او و هر چه به دست آورده است، هرگز او را کمک نخواهد کرد.
[111:2] His money and whatever he has accomplished will never help him.
3سَيَصْلَى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
(۱۱۱:۳) او به جهنم شعلهور گرفتار شده است.
[111:3] He has incurred the blazing Hell.
4وَٱمْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
(۱۱۱:۴) و نیز زنش که آزار و اذیت را رهبری کرد.
[111:4] Also his wife, who led the persecution.
5فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ
(۱۱۱:۵) او (زن) با ریسمانی از تیغ به دور گردنش (برانگیخته) خواهد شد.
[111:5] She will be (resurrected) with a rope of thorns around her neck.
