(۵۶:۱) هنگامی که آن اجتناب ناپذیر فرا رسد.
[56:1] When the inevitable comes to pass.
(۵۶:۲) هیچ چیزی نمی‌تواند رخ دادن آن را متوقف سازد.
[56:2] Nothing can stop it from happening.
(۵۶:۳) بعضیها را پایین خواهد آورد، و بعضی دیگر را بالا خواهد برد.
[56:3] It will lower some, and raise others.
(۵۶:۴) زمین به لرزه در خواهد آمد.
[56:4] The earth will be shaken up.
(۵۶:۵) کوهها از بین خواهند رفت.
[56:5] The mountains will be wiped out.
(۵۶:۶) انگار که هرگز وجود نداشتهاند.
[56:6] As if they never existed.
(۵۶:۷) شما به سه نوع تقسیم خواهید شد.
[56:7] You will be stratified into three kinds.
(۵۶:۸) کسانی که سزاوار شادی شدند، در شادی خواهند بود.
[56:8] Those who deserved bliss will be in bliss.
(۵۶:۹) کسانی که سزاوار بدبختی شدند، در بدبختی خواهند بود.
[56:9] Those who deserved misery will be in misery.
(۵۶:۱۰) سپس برگزیدهترین برگزیدگان هستند.
[56:10] Then there is the elite of the elite.
(۵۶:۱۱) آنها کسانی هستند که نزدیکترین (به خدا) خواهند بود.
[56:11] They are those who will be closest (to God).
[56:12] In the gardens of bliss.
(۵۶:۱۳) بسیاری از نسلهای اولیه.
[56:13] Many from the first generations.*
(۵۶:۱۴) عده کمی از نسلهای بعدی.
[56:14] Few from the later generations.
(۵۶:۱۵) روی مبلمانهای مجلل.
[56:15] On luxurious furnishings.
(۵۶:۱۶) آنها از همه چیز لذت می‌برند، با هم همسایه خواهند بود.
[56:16] Enjoying everything, they will be neighbors.
(۵۶:۱۷) از آنها، پیشخدمتهایی جاودانی پذیرایی خواهند کرد.
[56:17] Serving them will be immortal servants.
(۵۶:۱۸) با جامها، تُنگها، و نوشابههای پاک.
[56:18] With cups, pitchers and pure drinks.
(۵۶:۱۹) نه هرگز تمام می‌شوند، و نه حوصلهشان سر می‌رود.
[56:19] They never run out, nor do they get bored.
(۵۶:۲۰) میوههای باب میلشان.
[56:20] Fruits of their choice.
(۵۶:۲۱) گوشت پرندگانی که آرزو می‌کنند.
[56:21] Meat of birds that they desire.
(۵۶:۲۳) مانند مرواریدهای محافظت شده.
[56:23] Like protected pearls.
(۵۶:۲۴) پاداشهایی برای اعمالشان.
[56:24] Rewards for their works.
(۵۶:۲۵) آنها نه هرگز در آن سخن بیهودهای بشنوند، و نه گفتار گناهآلود.
[56:25] They never hear any nonsense therein, nor sinful utterances.
(۵۶:۲۶) تنها گفتار: "صلح، صلح."
[56:26] Only the utterance: "Peace, peace."
(۵۶:۲۷) کسانی که در سمت راست هستند، در سمت درست خواهند بود.
[56:27] Those of the right side, will be on the right side.
(۵۶:۲۸) در باغهای میوه باشکوه.
[56:28] In lush orchards.
(۵۶:۳۳) هرگز تمام نمی‌شود؛ هرگز ممنوع نمی‌شود.
[56:33] Never ending; never forbidden.
[56:34] Luxurious furnishings.
(۵۶:۳۵) ما برایشان جفتهایی می‌آفرینیم.
[56:35] We create for them mates.
(۵۶:۳۶) هرگز دستی به آنها نرسیده است.
[56:36] Never previously touched.
(۵۶:۳۷) کاملاً بهم می‌آیند.
[56:37] Perfectly matched.
(۵۶:۳۸) برای کسانی که در راست هستند.
[56:38] For those on the right side.
(۵۶:۳۹) بسیاری از نسلهای اولیه.
[56:39] Many from the early generations.
(۵۶:۴۰) بسیاری از نسلهای بعدی.
[56:40] Many from the later generations.*
(۵۶:۴۱) سمت چپیها، در سمت چپ خواهند بود.
[56:41] Those of the left, will be on the left.
(۵۶:۴۲) در بدبختی و آتش فروزان.
[56:42] In misery and inferno.
(۵۶:۴۳) حتی سایهشان هم داغ است.
[56:43] Even their shade is hot.
(۵۶:۴۴) هرگز خنک نیست، هرگز قابل تحمل نیست.
[56:44] Never cool, never tolerable.
(۵۶:۴۵) آنها ثروتمند بودند.
[56:45] They used to be rich.
(۵۶:۴۶) آنها در کفر بزرگ پافشاری کردند.
[56:46] They insisted on the great blasphemy.
(۵۶:۴۷) گفتند: "پس از اینکه ما مردیم و به صورت خاک و استخوان پوسیده درآمدیم، دوباره برانگیخته می‌شویم؟
[56:47] They said, "After we die and turn to dust and bones, we get resurrected?
(۵۶:۴۸) "آیا این شامل اجداد ما هم می‌شود؟"
[56:48] "Does this include our forefathers?"
(۵۶:۴۹) بگو، "نسلهای اولیه و نسلهای بعدی.
[56:49] Say, "The early generations and the later generations.
(۵۶:۵۰) "در روزی از قبل تعیین شده به جلسه ملاقاتی احضار خواهند شد.
[56:50] "Will be summoned to a meeting on a predetermined day.
(۵۶:۵۱) "سپس شما ای کافران گمراه.
[56:51] "Then you, O disbelieving strayers.
(۵۶:۵۲) "از درختهای تلخ خواهید خورد.
[56:52] "Will eat from the trees of bitterness.
(۵۶:۵۳) "شکمتان را از آن پر می‌کنید.
[56:53] "Filling your bellies therefrom.
(۵۶:۵۴) "سپس روی آن نوشابههای دوزخی می‌نوشید.
[56:54] "Then drinking on top of it hellish drinks.
(۵۶:۵۵) "سپس نوشابههایی از شن به آن اضافه می‌شود."
[56:55] "Then adding drinks of sand."
(۵۶:۵۶) چنین است سهم آنها در روز قضاوت.
[56:56] Such is their share on the Day of Judgment.
(۵۶:۵۷) ما شما را خلق کردهایم، اگر فقط می‌توانستید باور کنید!
[56:57] We have created you, if you could only believe!
(۵۶:۵۸) آیا به منی که تولید می‌کنید، توجه کردهاید؟
[56:58] Have you noted the semen that you produce?
(۵۶:۵۹) آیا شما آن را خلق کردید، یا ما؟
[56:59] Did you create it, or did we?
(۵۶:۶۰) ما مرگ را از قبل برای شما تعیین کردهایم. هیچ چیز نمی‌تواند ما را متوقف سازد-
[56:60] We have predetermined death for you. Nothing can stop us—
(۵۶:۶۱) از جانشین ساختن نسلهای جدید بجای شما، و به وجود آوردن آنچه که شما از آن اطلاع ندارید.
[56:61] from substituting new generations in your place, and establishing what you do not know.
(۵۶:۶۲) شما در باره اولین آفرینش می‌دانید. آیا بیاد نمی‌آورید؟
[56:62] You know about the first creation. Do you not remember?
(۵۶:۶۳) آیا به محصولاتی که درو می‌کنید توجه کردهاید؟
[56:63] Have you noted the crops you reap?
(۵۶:۶۴) آیا شما آنها را رویاندید، یا ما؟
[56:64] Did you grow them, or did we?
(۵۶:۶۵) اگر ما بخواهیم، می‌توانیم آن را به کاه تبدیل کنیم. آنوقت عزا خواهید گرفت:
[56:65] If we will, we can turn it into hay. Then you will lament:
(۵۶:۶۶) "ما از دست دادیم.
(۵۶:۶۷) "ما بینصیب ماندیم."
[56:67] "We are deprived."
(۵۶:۶۸) آیا به آبی که می‌آشامید توجه کردهاید؟
[56:68] Have you noted the water you drink?
(۵۶:۶۹) آیا شما آن را از ابرها پایین فرستادید، یا ما؟
[56:69] Did you send it down from the clouds, or did we?
(۵۶:۷۰) اگر ما بخواهیم، می‌توانیم آن را شور کنیم. شما باید متشکر باشید.
[56:70] If we will, we can make it salty. You should be thankful.
(۵۶:۷۱) آیا به آتشی که روشن می‌کنید توجه کردهاید؟
[56:71] Have you noted the fire you ignite?
(۵۶:۷۲) آیا شما درخت آن را آغاز کردید، یا ما؟
[56:72] Did you initiate its tree, or did we?
(۵۶:۷۳) ما آن را تذکری قرار دادیم، و وسیلهای مفید برای استفاده کنندگان.
[56:73] We rendered it a reminder, and a useful tool for the users.
(۵۶:۷۴) باید اسم پروردگارت را ستایش کنی، آن بزرگوار.
[56:74] You shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
(۵۶:۷۵) من قسم می‌خورم به طرز قرار گرفتن ستارگان.
[56:75] I swear by the positions of the stars.
(۵۶:۷۶) این قسمی است، اگر فقط می‌دانستید که بسیار هیبتانگیز است.
[56:76] This is an oath, if you only knew, that is awesome.*
(۵۶:۷۷) این قرآنی محترم است.
[56:77] This is an honorable Quran.
(۵۶:۷۸) در کتابی محافظت شده.
[56:78] In a protected book.
(۵۶:۷۹) هیچکس نمی‌تواند آن را درک کند، مگر اشخاص صادق.
[56:79] None can grasp it except the sincere.*
(۵۶:۸۰) تنزیلی از طرف پروردگار جهان.
[56:80] A revelation from the Lord of the universe.
(۵۶:۸۱) آیا به این روایت بی اعتنایی می‌کنید؟
[56:81] Are you disregarding this narration?
(۵۶:۸۲) آیا بی ایمانی را حرفه خود قرار دادهاید؟
[56:82] Do you make it your business that you disbelieve?
(۵۶:۸۳) هنگامی که زمان آن فرا رسد، و آن (نفس شما) به گلویتان برسد-
[56:83] When the time comes and it (your soul) reaches your throat—
(۵۶:۸۴) آنوقت به اطراف نگاه خواهید کرد.
[56:84] you will then look around.
(۵۶:۸۵) ما به آن نزدیکتر هستیم تا شما، اما شما نمی‌بینید.
[56:85] We are closer to it than you are, but you do not see.
(۵۶:۸۶) اگر حقیقت داشته باشد که هیچ حسابی پس نمی‌دهید-
[56:86] If it is true that you do not owe any accounting—
(۵۶:۸۷) پس چرا (نفس خود را) بازنمی‌گردانید، اگر راست می‌گویید؟
[56:87] why do you not restore (your soul), if you are truthful?
(۵۶:۸۸) اگر او یکی از کسان نزدیک به من است-
[56:88] If he is one of those close to Me—
(۵۶:۸۹) پس لذت، گلها، و باغهای مفرح.
[56:89] then joy, flowers, and gardens of bliss.
(۵۶:۹۰) و اگر او یکی از کسان درست است-
[56:90] And if he is one of the right—
(۵۶:۹۱) صلح سرنوشت کسانی است که در راست هستند.
[56:91] peace is the lot of those on the right.
(۵۶:۹۲) اما اگر او یکی از کافران است، گمراهان-
[56:92] But if he is one of the disbelievers, the strayers—
[56:93] then an abode of inferno—
[56:94] and burning in Hell.
(۵۶:۹۵) این حقیقت مطلق است.
[56:95] This is the absolute truth.
(۵۶:۹۶) باید اسم پروردگارت را ستایش کنی، آن بزرگوار.
[56:96] You shall glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
